Tourism in Bali is not always positive. When something happens and there is a negative impact people always tend to blame tourism," said N. Sugiri who is the Head of Badung Tourism.  For example, discotheques are considered a bad example for the local youth and illegal cafes are destroying the natural environment of the beach. The best way to counter all of these problems is to coordinate local community committees (Lembaga Adat) to participate and take care of Bali. 

Bali's tourism is a big support to the Indonesian government and foreign investment here is always attractive. However the Balinese have to be careful not to destroy the uniqueness of the culture of beauty of the island, as that's what the tourism here is essentially the basis of.
